If you can’t afford to buy all organic groceries (can get super pricey), just make sure these are. At least! Why are they called the dirty dozen? They contain the highest number of pesticides.

10Min WEIGHT-LOSS Workout!! (NEW)! (by HangTightwMarC)
(via heyfranhey)
Day one is not so hard. When my stomach growls, I drink water or some leftover juice as a “snack.” The bloat is incredibly irritating.
I pee every hour like clockwork. I was peeing so much that I decided to time it and sure enough, it’s hourly. 8:39, pee…9:39, pee…
I wish I could “mute” food pics on Instagram.
Day two: still not so bad but I didn’t prepare my juices ahead of time so I had more hungry in between times than I did on day 1. Fought a headache in the evening. Went to bed early.
Day three: I woke up not hungry. I wasn’t even hungry for two hours…I didn’t even get hungry until after I drank my first juice. Weirdness.
Day four: When I get hungry, I get a headache and a little nausea but it passes quickly. No migraines. Today I noticed that my skin was really dry. Even though I know I can’t eat like I used to when I’m done with this, I wrote down every meal that I want to eat after the fast. It will be a while before I can get it (because I have to ease out of the fast and get back to my regular diet) but dammit, I can’t wait.
Day five: I’m starting to feel like I may be detoxing. I notice the most change in my skin. It’s really dry and itchy. I also have some tingling in my skin like it is trying to sweat but nothing comes out.
Day six: I went to bed late, so I woke up late but I have a TON of energy. I want to do everything. I learned about some supplements that I should add to my fast. My esthetician told me she went on a monitored juice fast for 7 days and gave me tons of great advice. Now, I’m adding psyllium husk and bentonite clay to my lunch and dinner juices. They help me feel fuller and aide in the detox part of the cleanse.
I went to the doctor today and my blood pressure is already down to normal range and I’ve dropped 8 pounds. The weight I’m going to say is just water weight but I’ll take whatever I can get. I just have to work on keeping it off and keeping my blood pressure down when this is all over.
Day seven: Wow. At this point, it seems like 7 days flew by. The news I got yesterday inspired me to push through this, so I went to get more fresh produce. I’m adding more leafy greens this week, because I was taking it easy in with celery cucumber and a little spinach. I’m getting bored with cucumber juice, and celery I just hate. I will still juice them but only with other greens that over power their taste. Cucumbers make so much juice, it’s crazy. So I also need them for the volume.
Today was the first day I did an intense workout while juicing. I’ve been taking it easy, but today I did a full out 90 minute session. It was awesome. I feel awesome. My arms are sore. I’m done typing.
Breakfast
Well at least I thought it was breakfast until I realized how sweet it was. This is the most delicious juice that I’ve made so far (despite the fact that it was only juice #2) but it’s not necessarily a good breakfast drink. Too much sugar in the morning makes your blood sugar spike, and in turn, makes you hungrier faster. So I sealed this one in a mason jar and had it for lunch.
2 cucumbers, peeled
1/2 pineapple
1 mango, peeled and pitted
I’m hopping on this juice fast train and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve spent six weeks researching the good, bad and ugly of this process and it’s totally for me. Since I had to budget my juicer in, rather than splurge as I usually would, I had a lot of time to think about my plan and why this is going to work.
